Our Veterinarians

June L. Brooks, DVM

I have wanted to be a veterinarian since before I knew the word for this profession.  Now I have the best job in the world. I am a 1993 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - School of Veterinary Medicine.  Before opening Northside Animal Hospital in 2006, I explored many aspects of veterinary medicine by working in small animal practice, feline practice, and emergency medicine.  I am proud to call the Northside of Madison home.  In my free time, I enjoy watching or attending Badger sports, gardening, painting, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets.

I graduated from University of Minnesota Veterinary school in 1992. I worked in mixed animal practices (think James Herriot) for eight years then narrowed down my patient list to horses and small animals. I mainly work in emergency medicine but have enjoyed my chance to watch Dr. Brooks start and grow a general practice. Most of my other time is spent in the upkeep of my farmette and menagerie (equine, canine, feline).
